HSE / Quality

Health Safety and Environment

HMS is well rooted in our business in every aspect. Management ensures high focus on HSE by means of prepared procedures in our HSE manual and request for active reporting from all employees. We comply with the requirements of the Working Environment Act and have received very good feedback from the Labor Inspection Authority on several occasions. We have membership in local corporate health services and regularly carry out checks, exercises and other activities related to HSE. The safety of each employee has a high focus and there is, inter alia, a requirement for personal protective equipment in the production area.

Quality Assurance

We have our own quality assurance manual with long-term procedures based on long experience in the business. We have a high focus on quality in our organization. All products are controlled by at least two persons through the production process to exclude any production defects. The machines in production continuously log data, which gives us a good tool for post-analysis and continuous quality control. Our divisions at Sandane (Mona) and Moelv have a NS-EN ISO 9001: 2015 certificate. We develop product-specific quality routines at the customer’s request, and customer feedback is always appreciated and may lead to a review of the routines and, if necessary, revision of the quality system.

Corporate Responsibility

Structural plastic materials are based on proven technology and raw materials originating in the EU / EEA. Structural plastics have high ethical standards, and neither corruption nor child labor should occur in Strukturplast’s value chain.

Statement on Conflict Minerals
Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act requires SEC-reporting companies to disclose their use of conflict minerals cassiterite, coltan, wolframite and gold or their derivatives tin, tantalum and tungsten sourced from the conflict regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) or adjoining countries. Strukturplast AS has established a process of due diligence in its supply chain to assess products and raw materials for conflict minerals. This process includes reasonable country of origin inquiries to suppliers of raw materials.

Based on the information obtained from this process, we conclude that all products manufactured by Strukturplast AS and its subsidiaries are “DRC Conflict Free” as defined by the SEC Conflict Minerals Final Rule (Release No. 34-67716; File No. S7-40-10; Date: 2012-08-22).
